There's always a market for these feathers. FIrst check to see if the opera, theater in your area might want them for costuming. They would want a bunch but not necessarily hundreds at once. I don't know how long you've been collecting them. Check here, of course. I know there are millinary lists, but I don't know where they are.
A good thing to do when you BUY feathers is to put them into a zip-lock bag (if they fit) and store them in the freezer for a week or two to kill any bugs and their eggs that might have hitched a ride before you add them to your stash. That will help keep your feathers bug-free. LynnD On 7/25/07, Land of Oz <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote:
Is there a market for long exotic feathers for things like decorating hats or _______ ? My family is raising lots of exotic pheasants, peafowl, and other birds and my house is starting to get flooded with 4 foot long peacock feathers and 3 foot long zebra striped ones, shorter ones with red tips, etc. Thanks Denise B Iowa _______________________________________________ h-costume mailing list [email protected] http://mail.indra.com/mailman/listinfo/h-costume
