Not sure what you mean by "loose fibers". 100% cotton or wool batting will have a much different appearance in a quilt than will the poly stuff. Cotton and wool batting should be available at your local quilt store. If you want "raw" cotton, see if there is a yarn shop in your area that sells unwashed cotton - I have one near me. Cactus
