In Sept. I went to see the King Tut exhibit at Philadelphia. No one could take
photos inside the exhibit. But I wanted to show you the front steps of the
Franklin Institute where the exhibit was,
http://www.costumegallery.com/Philly/tutstepslg.jpg . I am so silly...I didn't
notice this on the museum's steps when we arrived. We crossed the street and
my husband said, "Look at the steps!"

Many thanks to those who told me to rent the headsets. It was really nice.
The first part of our trip we stayed at a hotel downtown to get the VIP package
King Tut tickets. This was really nice. There was a special reception area at
the museum with refreshments. We also did not have to wait in line. We
by-passed all line stops that regular ticket purchasers had. This really
helped my aching back. We walked around downtown Philly the previous day.

As for the exhibit, I was really impressed. I was really thrilled to see many
of the artifacts that I had only seen on TV, books or in art history class
slides. The artifacts looked exactly like they did in those previous mentioned
versions. So many times I go to exhibits and the artifacts look nothing like
the photos.

My husband has been to the Egyptian Museum in Cairo. He enjoyed the exhibit
but not as much as I did. He is back out on the road again with his job. Now
that the kids are all adults but one, I hope to join him on the international
trips. He has one trip planned for Korea and Japan for February. He really
doesn't suggest Korea in February, but he suggests that I meet him in Japan.
