I agree with you on that one. And there are very few scholars doing work in that period right now, I've noticed. However, I think you (and a few other people) may have read only my subject line and not my message, in which I indicated I'm collecting headwords for entries (not book topics) for an encyclopedia covering Britain from 450-1450. Sorry I wasn't clearer. Many many thanks to those of you who are sending me ideas for headwords, both on- and off-list. I've collected quite a few that we hadn't yet considered, and I expect we will be using many of them.
