I've not done this sort of work before, but make sure you copyright your
work before selling/donating it if you are creating your patterns from
scratch, if possible.

Not to open a can of worms or anything, but you really don't have to
"copyright" your work, i.e., register it, for you to own it. But, to be on
the safe
side, so you can establish that it is yours, put the copyright symbol and
the date on every piece you turn over to them, if you choose to.

Your question reminds me of a situation with me--I gave a lecture about a
year ago, and then the attendees wanted a detailed reference list (or, better
yet, a print out with images) of what I had talked about. Well, my feeling is
that my lecture fee only entitles to you the lecture--if you want detailed
written information beyond that, it should cost you extra.

Same with your patterns, especially if you provide docementation, which,
BTW, I think is very generous, but probably makes them much more useful to the
site.

As to what to charge--I just found out that an appraiser friend of mine is
charging $125/hour, with a 2-hour minimum. (I'm beginning to think $100 a
lecture is too cheap!)
