I am like Andy, I love my steam tank system.

I have a Rowenta DG-980, with the removable tank. It
cost a little more, and I am not sure if the removable
tank is worth the extra cost, but I love it anyway. I
keep it on the entire time I am sewing, and it doesn't
shut itself off. Steam is great, and I can press with
a cooler plate if I want (tho' it might sputter a bit,
so I give it a short upright steaming burst to clear
the vents a bit, right before I actually press). I
have found I like the control better, it is lighter in
my hand since I am not lugging water around, too. It
does not spray water, but that's fine as I have been
using a water bottle, too. And the steaming action can
last an hour or more before refilling, for those yards
and yards of linen.

And since I keep it on a rolling table, I can move it
around if I need to, without much worry about the tank
falling and going boom. I just have to remember to
unplug or my little ones turn it on and leave it on,
which really isn't too bad those couple of times that
has happened. I would definitely buy another one when
this one eventually dies.
