Well said, and exactly what I have to deal with since I do not live in an area 
that has a specialty store, unless I quilt (which I do not).

I buy from the Internet, or travel to LA or other areas that do have the 
stores. I support as many of the independent vendors as my small budget will 
allow, and am thankful for their willingness to offer great services and great 
fabrics I cannot buy locally. I want quality, and I am willing to pay for the 
quality, and not the junk stuff. It is why I will not shop at Wally World 
unless I must. This applies to more than fabric. I just wish I could also 
support US makers of fine fabrics, and not end up in the imports, too... but 
that's a whole other kettle of stinky fish that I won't get into.
