I would be sooooo grateful if someone of you knew of a review or wrote a review
of these three books:
Patterns of fashion 4
Corsets by Jill Salen
Pattern cutting for men's costume by Elizabeth Friendship
I am especially curious about the last one. As far as I know, apart from the
Costume technician's handbook there is no GOOD costume drafting book for 16th
to 18th c. out there. I don't have the Costume tech. handbook, but I suppose
it's relatively simple and more theater-oriented than I would like. I also
don't much believe books that try to cover all periods and all sorts of
clothing.
