Bustle era is OK, I prefer Natural form as I don't like making hoops (though
I'm tempted to try the Laughing moon stuffed bustle) but I'm really just
looking for a decent excuse to keep this fabric.

If you're interested in slightly later Victorian, there is at least one
early bustle era (about 1870) extant sheer solid pink (and lace) dress - I
don't know where I found the picture from though... it reminds me of the
Tissot painting "Too Early":

I would think that 8 meters would be enough to do such a dress, if you were
careful.
