Sunny, Bustle era is OK, I prefer Natural form as I don't like making hoops (though I'm tempted to try the Laughing moon stuffed bustle) but I'm really just looking for a decent excuse to keep this fabric. Thanks for the suggestion Elizabeth

If you're interested in slightly later Victorian, there is at least one early bustle era (about 1870) extant sheer solid pink (and lace) dress - I don't know where I found the picture from though... it reminds me of the Tissot painting "Too Early": http://www.abcgallery.com/T/tissot/tissot17.html I would think that 8 meters would be enough to do such a dress, if you were careful.
