Hi,

I am planning to buy myself an adjustable dressform and have found a webpage
that sells them at a very low price:
http://www.polimex.net/sklep/index.php?page=SubCategoryList&catid=5&sid=19&lang=pl

I would be an idiot to buy it elsewhere, because anywhere else it's minimum
twice the price and the shop is just over the border (Poland). So, I will have
to order something I cannot see before buying, and I need a little help.

I want a small dress form that will go from 60-65cm waist to 80cm, as I sew
mainly for young women with slim figures. Now, the question is which dressform
to choose.

The Lady valet seems very solid and I like the wooden stand, it also has a
wider range of sizes (BUST 84-104cm, WAIST 59-81cm). But I've seen it in a shop
some time ago (the B, larger size) and I remember I didn't like the shape, it
was too curvy - the bust was too large (too protruding) and the difference
waist-hip was much bigger than what the standard for European women is (not for
American:-)). I don't know, however, how does the smaller size A look.

The Diana dress form has 12 auto fit dials just as Lady Valet, and should be an
8 piece dress form (is lady valet also a 8 piece?). But the size range is
slightly smaller (size A: BUST 84-99cm, WAIST 65-80cm). This dress form shape
is maybe a bit better, but it's perhaps too unreal and the bust is not
realistic (opposite to Lady Valet, no protruding breasts). But I like the neck
and shoulder part - it is more natural, the Lady valet seems to "stand too
straight" - only some women do.

The My double dressform would be good, but I've heard bad references on it's
quality - and they say the back part is really flat and not realistic.

The Helena is maybe too cheap and of a bad quality, I don't know? I wouldn't
risk it anyway.

So, have any of you experiences with these dress forms? What's the quality
difference? Are you satisfied with the shape? Lady Valet and Diana have
different type of adjustment wheels, which one do you like better? Is Lady
Valet really worth the price or do you just pay for the wooden stand?

Thanks for any advice,

Zuzana
