That's what I used in my last Elizabethan corset. I'm planning to do a Victorian corset with the same stuff. I like the ones that are 24 or 36 inches long (the longer, the wider and thicker); they are easy to cut with a pair of craft scissors. Just nip off the sharp edges to make the tip slightly rounded \___/; I have not had any trouble with them poking through the coutil. They are a bit thicker than corset steels, but much lighter in weight. Plus they don't rust. And I'm not a tiny gal, but I get good support.
