I have a Nehru jacket sewing pattern for men that is dated 1968. That
would mean that they where probably in fashion at least a year before
that.
All the 1960s/70s fashion that I know about is from looking at tons of
patterns from those eras. I vaguely remember wearing a maxi dress in
elementary school in the early 70s. I know i had bell bottom jeans
then too.
