With nearly 120 vendors at over 180 exhibition spaces, it's the largest one-day bead show in the nation and all of it's profits help the Bead Society of Northern California with their programs and education efforts. Oakland Marriott City Center 10th & Broadway, Downtown Oakland. Parking: Parking at the Convention Center Garage is $24/day. Consider taking BART(12th St station stop and Saturday parking is free if you leave your car at BART parking lots) or take advantage of the Saturday rate specials at the many small surface parking lots in the downtown area. If you're willing to walk just over 4 blocks, parking is $20 at the large multi-story lot on Clay St, between 14th and 15th streets on Saturdays 9:30 am-7:30 pm (the Bead Bazaar entrance is half a block down from the corner of Clay Street and 10th St) Help The Bead Museum! BABE! is filling two benefit tables for The Bead Museum with vintage beads, jewelry, display items, bead magazines and books and cartons of dress/accessory quality leather scraps for sale. The Bead Museum in Glendale, AZ is the only museum in the US dedicated to the study and display of beads and they need everyone's support. Donations of any bead/jewelery related items to the Benefit Tables will be gratefully welcomed. All profits from this table will be given to The Bead Museum. Best Wishes!
