You are reading my mind--I was just wondering: were there different sizes of hoops, or styles of hoops worn--i.e. the hoops I"ve seen patterned for ball gowns were very round and wide; were the hoops that might be worn at home narrower or different?
And do you have a link or a photo or diagram of your hoops from that period, so I could see what the configuration is, that they would fold up so easily to sit down?
