this is a two part question . first is the flower originally called the pink, what we , today, call a carnation or the origin of that flower? if it is, is the regular jagged edge, part of the origin of the term "pinking"?. Im trying to use this for a masked ball i plan to attend soon where the theme is...come as your favorite pun. t i would appreciate and sources if ya happen to have them as i am totally lost.
