Minor comment on lucets in general. I find the handled ones less easy to carry around, because they don't fit into a needlework bag as well. I think the main thing the handle is good for is spinning the lucet around while working, but I've never missed having one and don't think it a necessary feature.

Just a remark :)


PS if you're just learning-- be sure not to pull your threads too tightly! Unless they are perfectly spun, they will cause you grief if you work too tight (as I do!). It helps to learn how to pull up just enough, but not too much. This takes a bit of practice with the desired thread. I've learned from bitter, hand-numbing experience not to lucet so tightly.
