I use the style without a handle. The base rotates in the palm of my hand quite comfortably. I had to try a few before I found the right shape for my hand.

It was suggested to me that the cord could be wrapped around the handle as you work. But I realized I had to unwrap and rewrap as it got longer. For me it's not about the handle so much as the shape of the tines. I like them flared a bit so the work does not fall off easily. Also nice and smooth, but if there is a problem there you can fix it with sandpaper.
