I understand, it is a compatibility problem. Is the table read-only? If yes then it is possible to create a workaround, for example by creating a view on top of the linked table: CREATE LINKED TABLE TEST(...) CREATE VIEW TEST2 AS SELECT LEFT(NAME || SPACE(15), 15) NAME FROM TEST; Would that be a solution?
