Hi, I have been using the new h2 (122 and 123) as soon as each got available. I really like those new structure: one file, smaller compared with the added sizes of the data and index files (from 15% to 60% smaller - so this is great). I have not done a lot of benchmarking, but overall it seems about 10% faster for most of the tasks.
My tests were on Mac OS X (10.6). It seems pretty stable. When can we safely begin to distribute it on a larger scale (not beta)? In my mind, when something is beta there might be problems when going from a version to another and I do not want that to happen when distributed... Apart from the advantages noted, what are the disadvantages? Is it more or less (or the same) subject to corruption? Does the recover tools (very useful by the way with previous versions) work as well? Thanks for this very good database engine.
