I would say: If there are users leaving H2 for HSQLDB or other then why do they leave? If e.g. need Open Office integrated support is a reason then it should be added to the list. Nothing is more annoying if you make the effort digging into a product for finding out quite late that an important feature is missing. I think when one discovers an important lack only while reading through the documentation in detail, this is too late. The user will be angry to discover only late and maybe never return even if for another project H2 would fit better. That said, I am not aware of the details that would cause me to use something different. E.g.
