Thomas,
thanks for the hard job!

As I am packaging stuff for SUSE Linux, I would like to ask you two things:
1. What was the reason you doing building in a pretty odd way by
calling Maven out of the Java? :-) What is wrong to have just a pom as
the rest of the world does?

2. Are there any possibilities to have just Ant way to build H2
instead of Maven?

I suggest you to have an Ant build.xml and references to the libraries
somewhere in a property file. So when we (or RedHat guys or others)
will generate their spec file, they would just easily resolve the deps
that are coming from the package manager and simply symlink it. So
that would be basically an automated packaging every time you release
H2.

But now packaging your H2 on Linux is actually a PITA. :-(
