I will be out of town on Thursday and cannot attend the open CLARC meeting this Thursday for review for Failover File System Monitoring.
As a CLARC member, I have no objection to approving this project for inception. I have only one comment on the requirements specification: Requirement R14 says: "Must support resource upgrade." I would draw your attention to CR 6770905, in which a problem was encountered in attempting to downgrade from version 6 to version 5 of SUNW.HAStoragePlus. This problem can be avoided by the implementation of the Validate method. When you introduce a new property, the Validate method should not error-out if the property is found to be non-existent in the resource type; instead it should just skip that property and continue with the validation. (This might occur when the resource is downgraded to a lower version of the resource type.) This would be applicable to your two new properties described in R4 and R5. Note, I have sent a copy of this message to Elaine Ding, the author of the requirements spec. --Marty On 02/09/09 00:32, Steve McKinty wrote: > Hi all, > > The CLARC inception review for Failover File System Monitoring will be held > on Thursday February 12th, at 9:00am US/Pacific.
