in Linux there is Heartbeat (linux-ha.org). it can manage common ip address for all storage-cluster nodes (which acts as iSCSI target ip). if one node fail - heartbeat switch this ip to another node. i think, in osol same functions can provided by OHAC (Open HA Cluster) suite -- This message posted from opensolaris.org
