I actually encountered this when I started working on my SmugMug Silo
plugin (still got to finish it off ;-) ) and actually restyled the
dropdown to be a set of "buttons" instead. See
http://skitch.com/lildude/brhud/smugmugsilo for a screenshot.

You'll see I also took care of the long title/filename running into
the external link.

I hope to finish off the code soon - need to get a bit more free time.
