What about *closing* the forum and having people rely on google
groups / wiki. I feel like questions are covered in three ways

1) research (wiki)
2) questions (newgroup)
3) instruction (irc)

The forum duplicates some of the content on the newsgroup, wiki, and
IRC. At this stage in the game, its inclusion actually makes it harder
to find the solution to your problem, not easier.
