Since I labelled the first sentence observation, I should have labelled the second opinion, and I stand by it. Though I recognise the timeline is not useful if it doesn't have many items, I would prefer the status quo in regard to post/pixel ratio, as doing otherwise will introduce inconsistencies in one way or another. If there aren't many items, I don't think making items wider will make the timeline any more useful (most items will be on the page already), though it is likely to make it's function clearer. An alternative way to make the function of the timeline clear has been proposed; using a background image. Why don't we try that and see if it helps? -- Michael C.
