The Google Analytics plugin works fine for me (it's running on
chrismeller.com). On the plugin page after you activate it, you select
'Configure' from its dropbutton. You should get a configuration pane where
it lets you enter your Analytics ID code.

As for Caius' problem, I imagine he had it configured not to include logged
in users, which is also an option in the Configuration pane...
