Setting scheduling priority in hadoop-env.sh
--------------------------------------------
Key: HADOOP-468
URL: http://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/HADOOP-468
Project: Hadoop
Issue Type: Improvement
Affects Versions: 0.5.0
Reporter: Vetle Roeim
Priority: Minor
Attachments: sched_priority.diff
It is not possible to set the scheduling priority in the Hadoop configuration.
Attached is a patch for starting the Hadoop daemons through nice with the
configured priority (can be configured in conf/hadoop-env.sh, for instance).
I would have included a patch for conf/hadoop-env.sh as well, but it seems to
be ignored?
