Hello all,
The domain will expire on Sep. 24. The domain is registered to Eli
Billauer via Yahoo! Domains, which are charging a lot of money, and
could be registered much cheaper.
Very true. Not only do they charge a high price, but they also renew the
domain automatically, charge my credit card, and then send a reminder. I
know this from other domains I kept there, so I should indeed take care
of haifux.org promptly. Thanks for reminding me.
I use domainsnext, who are pretty cheap and I've been happy with them
so far. Eli, would you like to take care of it, or should I? I suggest
one of us just renews it via domainsnext (or any other cheap
registrar) and we pitch for contributions at the next Haifux
meeting. FWIW, domainsnext appears to charge 11.95$.
So I shall. It appears that they don't give a simple DNS service (only
web and email forwarding, charging another $5.95/yr). Can anyone suggest
a reliable and durable solution for the DNS issue? Maybe another service
provider that gives both? Or does domainext give a simple DNS service
without me understanding that?
Regards,
Eli
