sometimes X freezes and the "Ctrl + Alt + Backspace" sequence don't have an affect ( or any other keyboard strokes ) , what could be causing "Ctrl + Alt + Backspace" to fail killing X ? i got nvidia driver installed
the more difficult situation , is /var/log/Xorg.0.config offers
little clues , only warnings at X startup about font directory misconfiguration
