Before someone starts to feel unstable and wants to implement their own sync
server, I'll report here.
Sadly there is no alternative to zookeeper. If one decides to do so, I am going
to write a tutorial. At least I am the person who have to answer the questions
on the mailing list then. So leave this up to me.
I think it is a great opportunity for others to research new ways of barrier
synchronization. Whether they build their own or improve zookeepers, I don't
care.
