Yes, it would; for compatibility reason, we'd want to allow both 
syntaxes, so the issue would persist. In addition, I'm not sure we'd 
want to add special-case behavior for pseudo-selectors (although if we 
had gone with a: b syntax initially, we might have decided to do so).
