I switched from rhtml to haml a few weeks ago, with no problems. I never bothered to delete my old .rhtml files; Rails 1.2.2 seems to automatically choose the .haml version first.
Today I downloaded Edge Rails for the first time. Now it is selected the .rhtml files preferentially over the .haml. Not a big deal, those files are obsolete & can be deleted anyway, but the behavior change was a surprise. I haven't dug into the Rails source. What has changed? Are there any other Haml-related gotchas that I should be aware of?
