Since it looks like we're moving to GitHub, a Subversion mirror will be
available.

There are too many particular attractions of Git to enumerate in an email.
The thing is, it has a superset of Subversion's features, including stuff
that's useful in day-to-day single-developer projects, like
nearly-instantaneous commits and tools like git bisect.
