Done .. I get rid of 'psyche' as a yamler engine on my server and I
forced using 'syck'
there is only 'syck' on my Mac OSX ...  and now I18n.t(:hello) runs
well !

thanks again for the tip , I know .. nothing to do with haml, but
initial error message was not very clear ... ( damned developers.... )
