I read/interpret theslogan "ubuntu - linux for human beings" as "ubuntu, contrary to otherversions of linux, does not require expert computer skills and can beused by anybody that can use a PC with other operating systems, i.e.any human being". "Loai nguoi" I interpret more like "the humanity". Ifmy interpretation of the intentions of the Canonical is correct, thenperhaps "linux cho moi nguoi" or something the like would be a bettertranslation. :-\ Good luck / Lars I share the same with you to translate "Ubuntu - linux for human beings" as "Linux cho m?i ng??i". Firstly, this is not true: MacOS is based on Mach (microkernel) and BSD 4.3. But that doesnt make MacOS microkernel at all, as they put a lot of stuffs into that layer then. Secondly, do you really think that this contest can prove that Linux/Ubuntu is more secure? Not quite, simply because a lot of attacks nowadays are multiple-platform. See this article. I completely agree with them. "A contest such as this is not a measure of relative security between operating systems. It's not an accurate barometer. ..... Just because the laptop -- a Sony running the Ubuntu 7.10 distribution of Linux -- was untouched doesn't mean that the operating system is any more secure than either Mac OS X or Windows Vista, both of which fell to attacks." http://computerworld.com/action/article.do?command=viewArticleBasic&taxonomyName=security&articleId=9074102 ---------- Forwarded message ---------- From: Jean Christophe Andr? <[email protected]> To: Hanoi Linux Users Group <hanoilug at lists.hanoilug.org> Date: Wed, 02 Apr 2008 17:18:00 +0700 Subject: Re: [HanoiLUG] H?i th?ng tin, chi nguyen lam a ?crit : > Em l? th?nh vi?n m?i gia nh?p, hi?n em l?m vi?c t?i C?n Th?.
