Yeah, simplest way to use two computers is a KVM switch which is sold at
TranAnh Computer at 30$. With a KVM switch you can control two or more
computer with one set of Keyboard Video monitor and Mouse.

if you are interested in the distributed Operating Systems, take a look
at Plan 9 which was written by the guys who invented Unix in the first
place. It is now Free Software and pretty cool. The down side is that
you'll have to write many apps that normal users love by yourself, like
webbrowser ;)
