I don't want to change such sensitive places in the code too fast in stable releases, so I'd like it to spend a week or two in a -dev release (hopefully I can emit dev4 today), before progressively backporting it to the older ones. I agree it makes sense, I just want to discover any potential breakage we hadn't thought about, such as border-line or invalid configs that used to accidently work and would not anymore for obscure reasons. It's quite unlikely, which is why I do think it will deserve a backport, maybe at least as far as 2.0. Thank you! Willy
