We did that maybe 15 or 20 years ago, I don't remember, it was when I was updating release announcements on freshmeat.net! It stopped working at some point without anybody noticing nor asking for it so I concluded that nobody was using this anymore and stopped copy-pasting to that file. While at that time everyone was speaking about RSS every day, it's been very long since I ever heard about it, but I know one person who tells me they still use it, so I don't know what to think about this, nor if it remains popular. I've never used that myself so I can't judge, but if there is demand, maybe something can be done, but we really need it to be automated, I don't want to start again doing manual copy-paste anymore. > 2. This is a chicken-and-egg issue, the announce message cannot contain the link to itself since it needs first to be indexed. However there's a link to the changelog file and to the haproxy.org main page. And on haproxy.org there is the link to the changelog and one to the announce which works once the announce is indexed. So it's not clear to me if it's just related to a link you were missing or if anything deserves being improved. > 3. git.haproxy.org seems to lack HTTPS. Is that by design? Possible to add > https? (not a priority for me, but thought to ask regardless) Huh ? I'm on it here https://git.haproxy.org/ and all certificate info looks good. Thus again, not sure exactly what you're asking for. Thanks, Willy
