Subject: [Harbour] [OT] Scripting languages popularity

[NOTE: completly OT, posted here
  because HarbourTalk is closed]

Hi,

Acording to TIOBE (http://www.tiobe.com/tpci.htm)
"Python surpassed Perl for the first time in history".
Acording to other articles I've read on a net, Python
is gaining more and more popularity in last months.
It become's a "hot" language ( whatever it means :) ).

Is Python really so good language ? In what areas is
it better than harbour ? And why Python and other
scripting languages (ruby and lua) are gaining more
and more popularity too ?

What's your opinion ?
