I know I know, one of the ugly corner of this OS,
the whole dll implementation actually... us developers
should've started sending invoices to MS on the extra
work hours spent on their horrible creation.

Good thing is my apps now build and run just as easily
on linux and darwin, as on Windows, so... I still have
to switch codepage across all apps and client environments
CP852 is the last remaining bit of DOS.
