Bolivia, 6134.80, Radio Santa Cruz, 1005-1030 Noted music at tune in with
TC and live ID
between each. "...Transmitino*(we are transmitting) ... Radio Santa Cruz
..." by a male in
Spanish. Signal was good for a few minutes but started to fade around 1016
UTC.
(Chuck Bolland, January 13, 2009)

Bolivia, 6155.28, Radio Fides, 1018-1030, Noted a female person in Spanish
Language
comments with a male who is on the telephone. At 1021, canned promos for
future programs.
This is followed with canned ADs. Signal was fair to poor during the
period. (Chuck
Bolland, January 13, 2009)

Peru, 6114.97, Radio Union,(Tentative) 1038-1050, Definitely a threshold
signal here. Can
hear the carrier well, but the audio is very weak and impossible to hear
anything significant.
I think I hear a female in Spanish, but I could be mistaking. (Chuck
Bolland, January 13, 2009)

Russia, 6115, Voice of Russia, 1046-1110 At 1046 noted an eight second
tone every 15 seconds
until the hour. On the hour very weak music followed by a few brief
Russian(?) language comments
from a male, then a female resumes talking for the period. Signal faded
from threshold to almost nil
by 1110. (Chuck Bolland, January 13, 2009)

1107/1296 AFGHANISTAN, RTVA/VoA. I have had some correspondence with
Gerhard Straub, IBB/VoA RF Systems Team Leader in Washington DC, concerning
the harmonics and spurs I have been hearing here. Gerhard has assured me
that things are being looked into, but I have no other details to report.
My reports in DXLD had been forwarded to him by a good Samaritan. Thank
you, whoever you are.

1557 FRANCE, France Info, heard at 1640 on 13 Jan w/YL and OM in FR talk
and light mx at 1644. Mixing it up with WYFR from Taiwan. Signals rose to
good level, but with deep fades and co-channel QRM. Listed at 300kW.

Snowed and rained quite a bit yesterday, which quieted a lot of things down,
noise-wise. Unfortunately, I haven't had much time for DXing since I have
deployed my personnel downrange and am the only person left in the office to
handle things here, and sure enough, we had several emergencies over the
last few days. Things should be back to normal this weekend, and shall once
again have time for DX and to answer emails.

Best 73 to everyone!

"Some even believe we (the Rockefeller family) are part of a secret

5005 UNID. (NEPAL?) - dead carrier at 0110 on 14 Jan. No audio, but
signal at same signal level and fading rate as the AIR stations, which lends
theory to Nepal. Anyone heard this lack of audio from Nepal on this freq?
I haven't seen them reported in a bit. They are the only folks scheduled to
be on at this time. Overall good signals.

"We are grateful to The Washington Post, The New York Times, Time
magazine, and other great publications whose directors have attended
our meetings and respected their promise of discretion for almost
forty years. It would have been impossible for us to develop our plan
for the world if we had been subject to the bright lights of publicity
during those years. But the world is now more sophisticated and
prepared to march towards a world government. The super-national
sovereignty of an intellectual elite and world bankers is surely
preferable to the national auto-determination practiced in past
centuries."
 - David Rockefeller, at a 1991 Bilderberger meeting
