Brazil, 5940, Radio Guaruja Paulista, (pres),0935-1000, Heard music buried in the noise at tune in. Eventually at 0941 a male begins talking in Portuguese. Briefly more music, then the announcer has a conversation with a female on the telephone. Signal is a poor quality, but that's better than usual, just like a "shadow" with no substance. Couple that with the noise, and it's a difficult situation to hear. At 0948, more music is presented. At 0952 conditions begin to deteriorate and the signal drops into the noise. This is probably my Unid from last week, heard here. (Chuck Bolland, August 17, 2010) Bolivia, 6155.36, Radio Fides, 1003-1045, It took some tuning, but heard a female in Spanish language presenting the news until 1006. This was followed with canned promos or ADs? A second female follows with more comments. The signal fades in and out during the period. At one point (1030-34) it seemed like the signal was off the air for a couple of minutes. However, at 1034 the signal fade in and was audible a few more minutes.
