And in case Chuck has not issued a correxion (I have not seen one), upon my inquiry he agreed that the ``correct`` frequency for Makassar should read 4749.946, and NOT 4754.946 or 4754.956! 73, Glenn Hauser

Anker, It was on January 25th at about 1120 UTC, which was on Tuesday. Sorry about the date and time being left out. I was just making an observation and didn't think there would be any interest. I am using the Excalibur, SDR and the display is very sensitive and shows signals that aren't audible. This is handy when there's a jam up on frequencies and the signals are all mixed together. When I run into a situation like this, I double check the frequency on my NRD545 and sometimes I am not able to un-twist the signals from each other. Instead I hear only one fuequency's carrier. It makes for an interesting morning at times. Best 73, Anker Petersen ----- Original meddelelse ----- Fra: Charles Bolland <[email protected]> Til: ALF <[email protected]>, Arnaldo slaen Note: I am hearing and seeing two signals on 4750+- KHz. One is at 4754.946 KHz and the second is 4750.000. I believe the 4754.956 KHz signal is Indonesia's RRI Makassar and the signal on 4750.000 is tentatively Bangladesh Betar, Bandgladesh. I am hearing audio from both regardless where I tune either to one or the other frequency mentioned. Unfortunately, the signals are too close together. Possibly someone with a sharper receiver might be able to tag which station on which frequency is broadcasting? I feel that 4754.956 KHz is the correct frequency for Makassar based on previous loggings.
