Peru, 5039.18, Radio Libertad, 0945-1005, When first tuned in, heard only the
carrier however, at 0951 with a slight adjustment the signal suddenly got better allowing the audio to be heard. Caught a male in Spanish language comments using the Echo Effect. At 0956 the signal really improves and details become easier to hear. Heard "Lima" mentioned a couple of times then. At 0957 music is presented. At 1000 canned ID by a male over the music. It was too weak to copy. (Chuck Bolland, April 19, 2011) Bolivia, 6134.802, Radio Santa Cruz, 1003-1015, At tune in noted a male and female in Spanish language comments which sounded like they were conducting a training or teaching program Heard words like "Escriba", "Campo", "Familia" and others. Signal was good. (Chuck Bolland, April 19, 2011) Peru, 6019.206, Radio Victoria, 1009-1015, Noted a male (David Miranda) in Spanish Language religious preaching. There seemed to be a second person translating for him, probably into a vernacular language. Signal was good in LSB mode. (Chuck Bolland, April 19, 2011) Peru, 5921.281, Radio Bethel, (Tent),1019-1030, Noted a weak signal here with a male in Spanish language comments. Signal is struggling with the noise to be heard as it fades in and out every couple of seconds. The male sounds very Peruvian with his speech characteristics, very excitable. Music heard at 1026. The last time I heard this station was October 10, 2010 in the morning. As I recall, it was a Sunday. Today the signal was threshold. The signal was drifting a couple of Hertz up and down as I listened.
