For ``ambiance``, we have to put up with the super-loud PA and screaming delegates even during news items having nothing to do with American politix. If someone is deliberately mixing the audio at that level, they are incompetent and should be expelled. If the positioning of the anchors with no barriers between them and the arena means their own mikes can`t help but pick up that much background noise, how RUDE to the TV audience! The should do their anchoring from soundproof studios/booths, anywhere near or far, and could still show the crowd in the background with a minimum of noise.
