AUSTRALIA. 9580, July 27 at 1319, S9+30 R. Australia during 'The Daily
Planet' world music ruined by very distorted, overmodulation, emulating R.
Habana Cuba on numerous frequencies such as 9710 right now; and still so
past 1400 news. Other // RA frequencies are OK, tho as always much weaker:
12065 S4-S6, 12085 S5-S8. Ron Howard, CA, also noted the RA problem from
1230 as did Jerry Lenamon, TX as late as 1500, wondering if no one is
paying attention at Shepparton until the next shift? Kai Ludwig reminds us
that Shep is indeed unmanned overnight in Australia.
17840, July 28 at 0151, RA is OK now, S9+10, presumably same transmitter
as was on 9580, unless they swapped to an alleged backup, at least on same
70 degree antenna toward Oklahoma. Always weaker 15240 seems to sound OK,
and as usual the third frequency 15415 is JBA here.
