Tonight we close the chapter on one version of Hardball and open another on
Monday...Wait 'til you get a load of the new set, show layout, A-list guest lineup,
etc...Remember the days when I would urge having dinner in front of the tube or at
least popping the popcorn?? Monday is going to be one of those nights! Clear your
sked (Washington speak for schedule), make a great dinner, tune your tv on MSNBC as
soon as you get home from work and pull the plug on the phone...

It's an absolute zoo around here today folks...Donahue and his staff are down here
taping an episode...Phil has actually taken over Chris' office in his
absence...Matthews is up at 30 Rock today where he'll do the show...Press and Buchanan
are down here too practicing for their big debut on Monday (2-4 et), doing hits for
dayside and prepping for Hardball tonight...They'll be doing the back half tonight so
you can get a little flavor of their gig...The new set is being worked on and I got to
sit in Chris' chair while they tested the cameras...Dude, it's totally rad....
On tonight's show, we'll kick off with the HIV+ Muppet story with Falwell and Sandy
Rios...Believe it or not, they disagree...
Sesame Workshop, the organization that produces the long-running children's show, says
it will introduce an HIV-positive Muppet character to the cast of its South African
program this fall and is discussing a similar move in the United States.
