The Hardball Briefing On MSNBC
------------------------------------------------------
As you know Chris has been suffering through a cold this week and has been doing a
mean Jimmy Breslin impression with his voice...Funny how even that can't stop him from
interrupting people! Well, we've decided to sideline him today so he can get some
much needed R & R...We'll bring up Barnicle from his bean town bullpen to pinch hit...
You may have heard the unfortunate news that a man was fatally shot this morning
outside of DC...This time at a Fredericksburg, VA gas station, about an hour south of
DC...While unconfirmed, the murder appears to be eerily similar to the recent rash of
sniper shootings in our area...MSNBC has been tracking the story all day and our
correspondent David Shuster will be live on location with the latest details
http://www.msnbc.com/news/816566.asp
We'll also talk to Clint van Zandt and Bo Dietl about the clues we're aware of and
what they tell us...
Plus, Howard will do the politics of the Congressional vote last night on Iraq...The
who, what, why, where, and how the deal was done....This sights, the sounds, the

show host in Atlanta...

O.J. and Harry Belafonte's comments on Colin Powell....
This just in from Belanfonte's PR people: "My analogy to the plantation existence I
say without regret...Life today for many is not too distant from slavery & oppression,
and by ignoring the views of most of the world's leaders, the President and Secretary
Powell are about to bring moral shame on this nation and do what is politically
expedient at the expense of the poor and disenfranchised."
Gotta run...We're down a man or two so I'm pulling double duty...Peace out and have a
great weekend...

Beltway...
