            The Hardball Briefing On MSNBC
------------------------------------------------------

Buchanan, Liddy & Dornan...3 huge reasons to watch tonight...I don't usually come
right out of the box with the guests but when the big guns are out you need to know
immediately....It doesn't get any hotter than this!!! I just got off the phone with
Dornan and he's pledged to "go easy" on Pat...I'm looking for some serious "kicked up
a notch" spice and fireworks...

It's shaping up to be quite a bloody day in the Capitol...Gephardt's stepping down as
leader in the wake of Tuesday's disaster and moderate Texas Dem Martin Frost is
throwing his hat in the ring...San Francisco Democrat/Minority Whip Nancy Pelosi is
also campaigning for the post...

Last night Rep. Harold Ford, Jr. was calling for Gephardt's ouster on Hardball as you
know...This morning in the Post, a senior Gephardt aide fired back: "Harold Ford is a
charter member of the Gore-for-president committee," the aide said. "He's always been
the guy they go to to do their business. When they need someone to criticize Dick,
he's always first in line. But what he has to say will have no impact on whether Dick
Gephardt is going to be leader or not."

Fla GOPer/Hardball regular Mark Foley: "It's absolutely jaw-dropping that after this
election the Democrats would revert back to the extreme left of their party. Martin
Frost and Nancy Pelosi are so liberal they make Larry Flynt look like Charlton Heston.
What's next, Barbara Streisand as DNC Chairman?"

We'll sort out the "Dems in Disarray" fiasco with Florida Dem Peter Deutsch, Norah and
a Shuster package...

Plus, we've got a Saddam biographer dude who's going to tell us how evil Saddam
is...He just wrote a book to prove it http://www.msnbc.com/news/830865.asp?0dm=N13LV

Another great review from our coverage on Tuesday: "There was one place on the dial
where life forms were discovered: MSNBC. Chris Matthews, of "Hardball" fame, was
feisty, opinionated, aggressive, lively, and filled up the schedule with so many
interviews...that there was never a dull moment" (UPI)

You gotta watch tonight...It'll be a blast...Lots of fun...

Dominic Bellone wrote, compiled and edited The Briefing in Washington, DC

Caddell on Winona: "This had about as much to do with justice as last night's election
had to do with democracy," he growled in the glaring sunshine. "Everyone in this
county believed she could not get a fair trial here." L.A. County District Attorney
Steve Cooley, he said, "is trying to make a political hit out of this."

He continued to rail against "irregularities" in the case and "prejudicial
information" that helped convict Ryder, before hopping into a car with a warning: "I'm
not done with Mr. Cooley."
http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/articles/A20261-2002Nov6.html?referer=email

Btw, everyone's out there calling for Terry McAuliffe's head, Pat Caddell was calling
for him to go from day one two years ago!

Hey, you gotta watch Nachman tonight at 5 et if you need more of Chris tonight...He'll
be on giving more election reax...

http://msnbc.com/news/831764.asp

"We didn't get to the goal line," he said. "We didn't score the touchdown. I'm sorry

my family, and I've come to the conclusion that it's time for someone else to take a
crack." (St. Louis Post-Dispatch)
